Imphal Talkies and the Howlers is a folk-rock band from Manipur, India. They are known for their scope of performances, ranging from politics and insurgencies to human rights issues and racial attacks in North-Eastern India. Most notably, their music has been associated with working against the AFSPA Act of 1958, which grant special powers to the Indian Armed Forces in some states that are branded as "disturbed areas" in India.
